Hill House
We were approached to design a modest family home on a site which benefits from both the countryside and coastal setting. The aim was to utilise the sloping gradient as an opportunity instead of constraint, something which is a direct response to the sites characteristics.

The family, who plan to use the home as weekend getaway sought a refined, simple internal layout which has an external appearance to match. A limited palette of natural materials and simple forms aim to realise a contemporary, stripped back building.
The white vertical timber wraps around the lightweight pavilion floating above a heavy stone plinth.
