Our task was to both better the internal layout which was disconnected to the view and enhance the external appearance, adding interest and contemporary design features to a previously non-descript 1960's bungalow which offered little architectural merit.

The clients approached us with a strong idea of what they though they wanted, however after presenting a number of alternative options, the final proposal, which differed from their original ideas, exceeded their hopes for the home.
The outcome is a rear extension which cantilevers over the lower plinth, adding dominance to the linear accommodation volume and removes emphasises from the lower, stark wall in which the house sits on top of.
